Obviously, for a country like Pakistan with economic disparities, cricket matches offer a chance for the country to come together and enjoy themselves. Sports like cricket are popular there, and I know that the citizens of Pakistan are upset with the decision of the ICC.<br /><br />However, I read another report online that said that this isn't the first time Pakistan has had issues with cricket. A earlier game last year was put off in the country, and despite attempts at getting the game to be played there, it was postponed heavily. I think the ICC is simply trying to avoid another similar situation. Countries need planning for events like this. I'm no expert, but even Japan is already trying to secure rights to host the 2016 Olympics, something very far down the line.
